Frequently Asked Questions — China
Can I fax to Chinese companies and factories?
Yes, provided the destination is a real fax line. Some corporate PBX systems may block or restrict fax, so delivery can depend on local configuration.
What is the correct format for Chinese fax numbers?
Use +86 followed by the area code and subscriber number. Example: +86 10 xxxx xxxx (Beijing), +86 21 xxxx xxxx (Shanghai).
Are there any special restrictions for China?
Delivery can be affected by local telecom rules and PBX setups. Always verify that the recipient’s number is an active fax line.
How do I know my fax was sent?
After submission you’ll see the technical fax status. You can also download a PDF payment/submission receipt. The receipt does not prove delivery or confirm that the recipient read or processed the document.
Do you store my files?
Files follow an automatic deletion schedule: unpaid uploads within about 30 minutes and paid fax files within 2 hours. A transmission provider must process the file to attempt delivery; see the privacy policy for details.
