Cookies & Google Analytics
We do not use any cookies that are strictly necessary to operate this site — the fax service itself works without cookies. The only optional cookies we use are set by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for anonymous usage analysis, and only if you give your consent.
If you click "Accept analytics"
- Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser:
- _ga — stores a unique client ID for your browser across visits (expires after 2 years)
- _ga_<ID> — stores your current session state (expires after 2 years)
- GA4 collects anonymized usage data: pages you visit, time spent, device/browser type, and approximate country (city-level IP geolocation is disabled).
- No fax content, recipient numbers, or payment details are ever sent to Google Analytics.
- This data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA) under standard contractual clauses (SCCs). Google's own privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Legal basis: your freely given consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
If you click "Decline"
- No analytics cookies are set in your browser.
- Google Analytics operates in Consent Mode v2 with
analytics_storage: denied. In this mode GA4 sends only minimal, cookieless "pings" (no identifiers, no cross-session tracking) that Google uses solely for aggregated, modeled reporting. These pings cannot be linked to you personally. - No profiling or behavioural tracking occurs.
Changing your preference
Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key gfn_cookie_consent. To reset it, open your browser's developer tools (F12 → Application → Local Storage → delete gfn_cookie_consent) and reload the page — the banner will appear again. Alternatively, clearing your browser data removes the stored preference.
